about

First song ever written by Amour Vache.
It actually set the track for the whole idea of the band, thinking along the space for dance and visuals, yet it is quite the easiest song by the group, simple to be played by just two musicians. The kind of effortless melancholy combined with the more or less accidental 'deep fountain reverb' gave us a reason to form a real band and not just jam and say goodbye.

lyrics

I was so
happy then
I was all the rain the skies could shower onto the roads
I was all the sun that could make any night collapse and go
could make any darkness disappear
but we're no longer here

When I caught you in the goldmine
we both felt a million miles high
and I thought that this was so right
I was trying to be a lover on the verge of a fight
now we're so pretty uptight
when we try to get the feel right
battles, in between quiet
I was trying to be a lover on the verge of a fight

It was so
ridiculous
chasing black spots on my belt of orion
and I said, we're having a good time now
but I never understood how great it really as
once your head is in the past like this
your future's already lost

When I caught you...
